The 2019 Navasota State of the City Luncheon is scheduled for January 17, 2019, co-hosted by the Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce and the Navasota Examiner.   The location is Navasota Center. Check-in begins at 9:30am.  The program is from 10am to 1pm.

This year's program includes:

  • Chamber of Commerce Update, by Johnny McNally, Executive Director
  • "Addressing Local Workforce Needs," by Jay Anderson, Dean of the Blinn College District
  • State of the County, by Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth
  • State of the Schools, by NISD Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick
  • State of the City, by Bert Miller, Mayor, City of Navasota
    Admission is $10 for Chamber members, $15 for non-members.  Seating is available free of charge starting at 12pm to attend only the Mayor's speech.  The Mayor’s State of the City address is an annual event where business, community, faith and non-profit leaders come together to hear the “state of the city” from the Mayor, County Judge and the NISD Superintendent of Schools, each presenting a brief overview of local developments for the previous and upcoming year.
